Denominations never should have happened, they’re dissensions, and Galatians 5:20 forbids this. Many of us start out in some denomination or another. But every single denomination I am aware of has its own biases, according to which they twist the scriptures. Beloved, this ought not be.
Jesus Christ is not divided. There is one Christ, and one gospel. If we believe otherwise, then we are in error.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. – Ephesians 4:4-6
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. – II Peter 1:19-21
As Christians, we’ve often heard that Santa is an anagram for Satan. But God has shown me another anagram, and it has caused harm and confusion to the bride.
Denominations = Dominant Noise
The church is the body of Christ (Col 1:24), and Jesus is the Word (John 1:1). Denominations are the spiritual equivalent of dissecting the body of Christ and taking a scalpel to the Word.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. – John 4:23-24
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. – Ephesians 4:13-16
